Qi Gong

At La Reverdie, discover this ancient Chinese energy art with Sabine, a certified instructor from the FFAEMC

Qi Gong or maintenance of vital energy

Qigong means the maintenance of the vital energy that animates all things. The Chinese ideogram is by definition polysemous: representing a bundle of rice associated with the earth and a cloud of steam, it can be interpreted as the union in the movement of the earth and the sky.

An energetic art without martial application, Qigong is characterized by slow, gentle, circular, and harmonious movements. Once the form is mastered, it is combined with breathing and then intention.

The benefits are multiple: strengthening and softening of the tendon-muscular system, improvement of the circulation of energy in the body according to the approach of traditional Chinese medicine (action on specific organs, stimulation of acupuncture points and stretching of the meridians), calming of the mind, quality of presence, relaxation... All while respecting the limits of each person because there is no notion of performance, but a search for the right movement.

Introduction to Qi Gong with Sabine

Sabine practiced Qi Gong with different teachers, then followed a 3-year professional training course in Quebec and Toulouse (Institut de Qi Gong du Québec and IFAEC) before obtaining her instructor certificate from the FFAEMC (French Federation of Chinese Energy and Martial Arts).
